Gustav Klimt

I admired Gustav Klimt. I am mostly stunned by his works. He was an Austrian Expressionist Painter in the 19th-20th Century and one of the most important member of the Vienna movement . His primary subject was  the dominant women, the female fatale.

I love the way he painted all his character. The detail he added are absolutely lovely. He is using  elegant gold or bright colour decoration, spirals and swirls and phallic shapes used to conceal the more erotic positions of the drawings upon which many of his painting are based.

The detail he added in inspired me of the patch fabric. The patch fabric is the most traditional sewing technique yet been forgotten. The patch work is a form of needlework that involves sewing together pieces of fabric into a larger design.Patchwork is most often used to make quilts, but it can also be used to make bag, jacket, skirt and etc. Patchwork also often combining in with embroidery and other forms of stitchery.

Designer like Chanel, Missoni ,and etc. Especially Missoni always using patch work in their collection. I really enjoy their mixing and clashing of colour and design all in one garment.
