Iris Van Harpen

Iris Van Harpen, she started her own label on 2007. She did internship at Alexander Mcqueen.

She said she is expressing the character and emotions of an unique woman and to extend the shape of the feminine body in detail. She mixes craftsmanship-using old and forgotten techniques-with innovation and materials inspired on the world has come.

Her collection so strong and so couture and the silhouette and the sewing techniques are amazing.

I do like the way - GO WILD!

Irina Shaposhnikova

I have been doing the research for my silhouette. I am trying to get inspired by architectural and any other fields.

I have found an designers named Irina Shaposhnikova, her graduate collection- Crystallographica was inspired geological formation of crystal and minerals.

I love her collection. In somehow, I feel her collection really link to my concept but I doubt it comfy to wear. Anyway, her collection is a good example for me to look for my silhouette.

Rachael Hadden

My concept and colour trends are inspired from 4 photographer. Therefore, I have decided to looking for the inspiration of silhouette and fabrication from product designer, architectural, furnitures.

Erwin's images keep popping up in my head. The way he used colour gel, gross colour ground to create the mystery feeling is a huge inspiration for me. I love the idea and I love feeling.

I have found Rachael Hadden. Her pleated works are amazing and stunning. They are so beautiful. I have copy some of the images from her website. Rachael Hadden is a Textile Design graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee. Her works are approach explores the contrast between steel structures of architecture against the uncontrolled reflective nature of a cityscape. She also tests the boundaries of natural silk fabrics experimenting with an innovative way of hand-pleating and laser cutting.

Christopher Kane is Scottish fashion designer based in London.

While still in college, Kane worked for Russell Sage and Giles Deacon and attracted the attention of Donatella  Versace by winning the Lancome Colour Award in 2005.He was immediately hired by Versace to work on the label's Atelier couture collection as well as consulting on shoes and accessories.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I admired Christopher Kane, he is one my favorite fashion designer. His works are always so creative and wearable. ( You know some of the designer's collection very creative yet not wearable ;p)

I love the print design on this Galaxy Collection. Very new  and creative print. It is shinning and glowing yet it comfortable.

Trends report - Photograph inspired

Back from Amsterdam and Brussels! So now is time to continue my works.

I feel like I need to analyze and sort out the concept and colour trends research first,  before I go further research to the silhouette and fabrication.

I have been thinking how am I going to present my trends report. So I started looking the graphic, layout and typographic from internet also I started reading the graphic design book to understand and learn the technique of layouting.

I have learn a lot from the graphic book. It is very useful for fashion communication. We represent the design to speak the idea on their behalf.  Strong visual and typography is so important.

This is so far what I have done! As the trends identity is comfy and simplicity so the colour I chosen soften colour tone.

I quite happy with the layout. What do you think? hehehe

The reason why they are so attractive me to me is these images are alive.

What do I mean of alive?

-Fluidity-
They are like liquor fluid to everywhere and every moment.

Photographer direct model create the movement mean while using lighting technique to capture the feeling of fluidity. Photographer frozen the fluidity, the movement. They create the quiescent.

Elizavate Porodin

AxelEngstorm

" I shoot people. With one foot in romance, dreams and ethereal elegance and the other one firmly fitted in pure rock n'roll I shape my artistic footprint." Axel Engstorm.

I can found very strong personality on his works. He once said he do not really appreciate and admire on any current photographer, he thinks his works are better than any other photography on an interview. He has his own idea and so passion on his photography career. As I can tell from his works are so much influenced by music. There are a lot of movement, melody on his images.

His " Metamorphosis" project inspired me. the combination of movement and romantic are absolutely fascinating and feeling comfy to me. This is inspired me of 2011 A/W trends- comfy and relax.
